Growing up in Sparta, Michigan, Frank Vanderhyde married the girl next door Janet Hammerlind. After a short stint in the US Army, the two embarked on a journey that led to what Spartan Farms is today. The farm is comprised of a dairy and row crop operation that has always raised their own beef for wholesale.
A little history on how we got started
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Spartan Farms chose to start selling their high quality beef directly to the public. In a few short months, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Our family is proud to provide great food for great memories and learn about all the positive experiences created from our product.
